Yes, Virginia, there IS a deadline! Whispering Pines needs to close
off ALL articles submitted after December 8. We are also not
covering any events after that date - they will appear in the January issue.
It is very important for this issue that we meet the deadline. Please
submit material promptly. I will try to call our regular writers.

DEADLINE: MONDAY, 12/8

Something that Xerox is doing: If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com
you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be
sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out
who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send
one!!! This is a great site. Please send a card. It is
FREE and it only takes a second.

Deadline for the November issue of Whispering Pines was listed as
November 7. However, in view of the many events scheduled after that
date, we will extend the deadline to Tuesday, November 11. The Men's
Club meeting on November 13 should make it into this issue, also.
It is stressful to have too many late articles to process, so please try
to have monthly items in early. This includes ads, pictures, and
checks. As always, items may be left with Bonnie at the reception
desk or e-mailed to nancylee183@juno.com. Thanks for your cooperation.
